Tasteful Thursdays!

I enjoy reading books, though I’m not always so good at finishing them. However, today I thought I would share the top 10 books I want to read – (and finish) – in 2015!

1.” Insurgent” by Veronica Roth

2. “Allegiant” by Veronica Roth

I started reading  “Divergent” after seeing the movie – and I really enjoyed both the movie and book! Afterwards, I knew I wanted to continue on with the other books! Despite having the ending of the series spoiled to me by a careless commenter on a social site, I refuse to be deterred from reading it for myself!

3. “The Scorch Trials” by James Dashner

4. “The Death Cure” by James Dashner

I remember reading “The Maze Runner” in high school and I was not overly ‘wow-ed’ by it. At the time I thought it had way too much description and narration – not enough ‘showing’. However, I saw the recent movie adaption of the book and loved it. It made me want to read the next novels and find out what happens to the characters. Hopefully this time it will be a good experience and not confirm my past thoughts.

5. “Choosing to SEE” by Mary Beth Chapman

I have wanted to read this book for a few years now after my mom read it. This book tells of the personal struggles from Mary Beth Chapman’s viewpoint of the tragedy that the family experienced after losing an adopted daughter.

6. “Strictly Confidential” by Terri Reed

A book I received as a Christmas gift from a friend and writer. It’s also one of the books I’m ‘currently reading’. I’m not a huge mystery book fan, but am enjoying this ‘love suspense’ novel so far!

7. “Radical” by David Platt

A book I got as a birthday gift one year, but still have not read yet. One that would be great if I could get into and finish this year!

8. “Unstoppable” by Nick Vujicic

I love Nick Vujicic! He is an inspiration! His talks are encouraging and challenge you to believe that you are valued, to trust in God and rise to see HIs great purpose for your life!

9. “The Long & The Short Of It” by Annmarie Miles

“The Long & The Short of it” is a collection of stories by Irish writer, blogger, and lovely person – Annmarie Miles! Check out her blog (linked in her name above)!

10. “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan

Another book that I’ve wanted to read for a while, but never got around to actually reading. So, here’s to this year!

I am a book lover; and of course it would be nice to read more than 10 books, but it’s good to set goals – especially if you’re me. What books do you want to read this year?
